We represented Kenya and the Former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia
- On my committee we discussed steps to creating a Nuclear Weapons Free Zone in the Middle East as well as the Unconventional Stockpiling of Small Arms Light Weapons in Excess
---------> We wrote the Resolution and made Kenya a major player in the discussions #awesome

While we were there it snowed and our class became better friends. Overall it was super fun.

STILL undefeated

Hendrix football played yesterday for the first time in 53years! The best part? We won!
This game was super important for two main reasons:

• It is the first integrated football team Hendrix has ever had
• Our players are almost all freshman- and we still beat Westminster

Also this past week was Rosh Hashana!

Going to services was really fun and interesting and I became closer with some of my fellow jews.

My new years resolution is to be a nicer person, and to keep up with my responsibilities.  Luckily I'm off to a good start :)

Galloway girls are bitches,
Raney girls are nuns,
Couch girls are hippies,
but Veasey girls are FUN.

Our Shirttails dance was the shit! no lie
but, apparently touching your stomach is inappropriate...
given this information we got disqualified :(
Couch won and Raney came in 2nd but in all reality we beat the shit out of them all put together!
Veasey's got them sex eyes, the crawl, twerk towers and upside down twerkers, a mega lift and stunts galore.

I'm SO College!

Shirttails choreo is going well! I even get to be in the front row :)
I had 3 classes today and they all were awesome.  World religions is very philosophical in the best way possible.  Explorations we just did more name games *rolls eyes*.  Model UN was my favorite! We're going to Chicago in a few months to compete at the colligate level, and most likely I will be on the Kenyan delegation.  Sorry, had a NERD moment lol. Anyways tomorrow we have shirttails serenades and I'm super excited for all the boys to sing... Tomorrow is the first Wednesday Fest which should be interesting.  Martin is gonna be crazy but I have to at least drop by.

DAMN, Shit Just Got Real

After coming back from my oh so fabulous OR trip (motorin' on Mt. Magazine) and making friends with the baseball "pod" and the tent I was exhausted!  Last night was also the first party of the year and it was fun to mingle with the upperclassmen.  Shirttails rehearsals started today they are:

- Fun

- Painful

- Fast

- Sexy

- DANCE

- biggest workout ever

Twister Mixer

Anyways lets cut to the chase. Veasey & Martin had a mixer last night where we played Twister on a GIANT game board.  Apparently me and this one guy got extremely tangled up and it was hilarious --> such a good ice-breaker (although I never really caught his name) oops.

On The Trail We Blaze

This is my first mobile post! 

My first college adventure started last Friday as my mom and I left on our road trip to Hendrix. 

Since then we've passed through 6 states! North Carolina, Tennessee, Georgia, Alabama, Mississippi, and Arkansas. The only state I hadn't been to yet was Mississippi so this photo was a given:

This makes it all look so small, but minus a small suitcase and a set of bins this is what I'm bringing to school! although don't give me too much credit- I plan on raiding Walmart when we get to Conway, and we sent all of my bedding there ahead of time.

Exactly 18 years ago from this day I was born.
Finally I get to be part of the club (hint hint nudge nudge).
I'm a youngin' for my grade- at least for a few years we'll be on a level playing field.

HAHA! fooled y'all.  I've spent days scouring my room for any and everything I think I'll need in college.. nevermind the countless trips to bed bath and beyond for a few useful items but mostly just decorative and useless crap.
NOW that I've done that step like 20 times my room looks like this:

you know the BEST part? This is only half of my stuff. I think I'm going to need to cut back a bit.  Luckily I got these super life-saving vacuum seal bag things.  Words cannot describe how hard it is to determine what I'll need for this upcoming year when I'll be living in a completely different state, in a box approximately 12x12ft. YIPPIE 

THE THING IS that I don't care because I'm going to college, the best college, Hendrix College, where school is fun and pecan shells line the courtyard.

Veasey Hall

Veasey is the dorm I've been assigned to live in this coming up year.  It was my first choice and I'm psyched to become a VZ girl.  Veasey has a crazy rep on campus- some like to refer to us as Easy Veasey (EZ VZ)- but we're mainly known by our dance move called the Veasey Crawl.  Here is the Urban Dictionary Definition:

Veasey Crawl

Derived from the Veasey dormitory at Hendrix College in Conway, Arkansas. Ceilings in Veasey are considerably lower than the rest of the ceilings on campus and the beds are tall, so the residents of Veasey Hall would have to crawl over their partners a certain way to engage in sexual intercourse. It has now become a staple in the Veasey dance at the highly publicized event, Shirttails. In this event, the freshmen of each dorm are to prepare a choreographed dance and perform it for a trophy. While the Veasey Crawl often results in elimination because of the background of the dance, Veasey continues to use it each year in their performances. Their most recent win of Shirttails was in 2009.
